Abstract

This thesis serves to explain the great amount of attention given to Spain during the papacy of Benedict XVI, particularly through his disproportionately frequent official visits. Thus the research will analyze the actions and ideology of the Pope and explore his relationship with the faithful of other countries in comparison with that of the Spanish.

Esta tesis pretende explicar la atención especial por parte del Papa para España, particularmente por la frecuencia relativa de sus viajes allí. Para este propósito se debe mirar a las acciones y la ideología del Papa Benedicto XVI y explorar sus relaciones con los creyentes de otros países en comparación con los fieles de España.
