Abstract

Women, in the past, have generally been defined by their relationship status. The goal of this research project was to test whether a woman’s relationship status (either married or single) affected her income. The project examined data from 1990, 2000, 2010, and 2014. Although this research only investigated the effect on single and married women’s incomes, there are also many other reasons why the cross over in incomes happened from 1990 to 2014.
