Abstract

This thesis describes and analyzes Israel’s policies towards Palestine in order to determine under which political school of thought the policies fall. To better understand the constructive context a brief historical background is presented, and a description of two  major political schools of thought, realism and liberalism, is made.Next, how Israeli policies fall under specific theories are discussed. The aim is to look at the policies of Israel and how they apply to differing political theories. It is from there the conclusion takes its essence. In fact what comes forward are the different events that show actual applications of political realism, and how Israel's policies differ from liberalism. This means that Israel’s policies follow the realist view of international politics.
