Abstract

The Digital Age has welcomed new methods and restructured practices for the past few decades, working to provide more efficient and costly solutions for a variety of businesses and issues. Applications and technology have been created and introduced new concepts like Digital Coupons, Personal Store Applications, Digital Employee Timecards & Payroll Services, Digital Survey & Data Collection, Location Oriented Notifications & Cross Interaction. As technology and intelligence progress, many practices become obsolete. For years, Marketing has used methods such as Focus Groups, Product Trial Periods, Surveying, and Sales Reports to grow their approach. Management has used Guided Teaching, Authority Management, and Courses in efforts to manage employees better. New products and applications have been created that improve on previous concepts or introduce new ones. One of the more recent introductions is Geographic Information Science (GIS). GIS provides a blanket of products to create Applications, Data Visualizations, Applied Analytics, Data Gathering, and Mapping to create new approaches to Big Data and Location Intelligence. This paper will present a background of Data Analytics and GIS, How GIS can Enhance Business and Obstacles to Overcome, App Creation and Implementation presenting a real-world example, Introducing Predictive Marketing and a Conclusion. This Thesis will focus on the capabilities of GIS combined with Data Analytics and Coding to provide an innovative approach to Marketing and Management, making the past approaches obsolete.
