Abstract

Days for Girls International aims to provide an enhanced quality of life for girls everywhere. They do this by making menstrual cycle kits for girls in underprivileged countries where these supplies are in great need. The Carthage College Chapter of Days for Girls International strives to carry out this goal and to raise awareness of global issues on our campus. Each semester, our chapter participates in two sewing days where students come together to create and assemble kits to be ship to countries all over the world. We are a new organization but have grown tremendously in the last year. We have partnered with the Enactus Business Organization to achieve our goals. The Carthage College Chapter of Days for Girls International continues raises more awareness and creates more kits for girls everywhere.  To quote the Days for Girls International vision statement, “Every girl and woman in the world with ready and feasible access to quality sustainable hygiene and health education by 2022”.
