David Hoeppner — Hartford, WI,  David Hoeppner was promoted to Lieutenant for the South Milwaukee Police Department in a small ceremony on September 21st, 2020. David Hoeppner has served the City of South Milwaukee for 21 years, 16 years as a Patrol Officer and 5 years as an Investigator. In his 21 years of service, David Hoeppner has received 2 Life Saving Commendations, a Supervisors Recognition Award, a Meritorious Service Award, and was award with an FBI “Unsung Hero Award” in 2019. Lt. Hoeppner continues to serve the City of South Milwaukee on the Late Shift and is also a Department Use of Force Instructor, Motor Officer, and Evidence Technician.

Kari (Schultz) Gribble — Arena, WI,  owns a 2,000 acre farm with 400 cows near Fox Lake, WI with her two siblings, Nick and Katy Schultz. Gradually, the siblings took over the farm operation after they bought the cropland from their parents in 2002. Over time, the siblings bought more land and cows and each sibling has their specific responsibilities. Kari graduated with a BA from Carthage, an MBA from Edgewood College, worked in financial aid at Carthage, and is the Director of financial aid at Edgewood. She is the farm's CFO and handles all the financials from taxes, to insurance to payroll to paying bills. She lives with her husband, Eric Gribble '97, and their two children in Arena. The siblings were highlighted in Wisconsin State Farmer. David J Hoeppner — Hartford, Wisconsin,  was promoted to head wrestling coach at South Milwaukee High School. While he coached the middle school team, the Rockets won a conference title, qualified 11 wrestlers for state, and earned two Schoolboy All-America honors. Mr. Hoeppner also remains a defensive line coach for the school’s varsity football team. He has been a police officer for the city for the past 19 years as a member of the SWAT team, motor unit, and investigations bureau, as well as a defensive tactics instructor and field training officer.

Kristine (Burdick) O'Sullivan — Janesville, WI ,  received a 2016 “Forty Under 40” award from the Association Forum of Chicagoland and trade publication USAE. The award recognizes potential for success and commitment to association management and nonprofit industries. Ms. O’Sullivan is the member engagement and communications Manager at the American Health Information Management Association. After graduating from Carthage in 1999, she spent a year in New Hampshire as an AmeriCorps VISTA member, and has only worked for associations since then: Corps Network in Washington, DC; Catholic Volunteer Network in Takoma Park, MD; the American Osteopathic Association in Chicago, IL; and AHIMA, also in Chicago.

Christy (Yerga ) Miller — Milwaukee,  has been hired as senior director of development for the Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast (GSWISE). Ms. Miller most recently served as director of development at PEARLS for Teen Girls, Inc., where she designed and implemented the organization’s first in-house fund development infrastructure. Prior to that, she was employed at Wisconsin Foundation for Independent Colleges, Inc., where she served as program and marketing manager from 2000 to 2002, program and marketing director from 2002 to 2004, vice president of operations from 2004 to 2010, and vice president for corporate and foundation relations from 2010 to 2011. Miller graduated from Carthage College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing. A 2004 Future Milwaukee graduate, a 2009 graduate of the MOSAIC Milwaukee Partnerships Initiative and former Milwaukee Center for Independence Young Professionals Advisory Board member, she serves as a counselor for the GEMS Program (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior) at Brookfield Christian Reformed Church. Erik R. Guenther — Madison, Wis., was selected as a 2006 Wisconsin Super Lawyers Rising Star by Law & Politics magazine. This designation was based upon a peer survey of attorneys of Wisconsin. The final selection of Rising Stars (the best attorneys under 40 or in practice 10 years or less) was limited to the top 2.5 percent of lawyers in the state. Sheb Muhammad — Kenosha, WI,  will receive the Mahone Fund's Signature Award on May 5 at this Reaching for Rainbow's Gala, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Muhammad, one of the founders of the event, remains committed to the success of the Mahone Fund, which provides programs, scholarships and access to opportunities to youth. He originally came to Carthage to study engineering but graduated with a degree in graphic design and studio art. A year before graduating, Muhammad volunteered at the Lincoln Neighborhood Center during the summer eventually becoming a gang-prevention specialist and parent liaison at Lincoln Elementary School. Muhammad met Tim Mahone and the two established the Mahone Foundation's Career Exploration Organization, a program aimed at closing the achievement gap between minority students and their counterparts, by forging connections with scholarships, internships, and post-high school opportunities. Muhammad is currently principal at Grant Elementary School.

Nick Haas — Racine, Wis., Vaccine awareness and education is his new frontier. When he and his wife found out they were pregnant with their first child, he started reading about pregnancy and child birth. He found that many common presumptions are incorrect. From there, he began to research vaccines, and was blown away by how different our understanding about vaccines is from the scientific evidence about them. They have made healthy choices (that may seem unconventional to many) for his family based on his research and new-found revelations. Julie Terhark Elginer — Calabasas, Calif., was recently appointed by California Governor Jerry Brown to a four-year term as a member of the Board of Chiropractic Examiners (BCE). As a student, she was a member of the Carthage cheerleading squad and vice president of Kappa Phi Eta sorority. In Nov. 2000, she married Jeffrey Wirch at A. F. Siebert Chapel. A teacher in the Kenosha Unified School District, she worked for seven years at McKinley Middle School, where she was a cheerleading coach, track coach, and Honor Society advisor. She spent the past year at Mahone Middle School. She was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church. Ms. Wirch died after a brief battle with cancer. She is survived by husband Jeffrey, son Benjamin Dean, mother Kelly (Hight) Treichel, sister Erin Treichel, and grandmother Jeanette Hight. Her father preceded her in death.

Elizabeth (Piper) Rogalsky — Ripon, WI., passed away on Sept. 4, 2010. She was employed for many years with Wells Fargo & Co. in marketing and managment. In 1998 she married Scott Rogalsky '92, the ceremony was held in Siebert Chapel. She was a member of Grace Luteran Curch of Ripon and served as the church treasurer, played in the hand bell choir and with her husband Scott organized annual family canoe trips and annual Thanksgivingl mea mission open to all in the community and surrounding area. She battled cancer for 20 years, but never allowed the illness to define her life. At the time of her death, Betsy was nearing degree completion through the Loyola Master of Social Work Program at Carthage and was preparing to dedicate her life to improving those of other cancer survivors and their families. She was an inspiration to her family, friends, and all who knew her. She is survived by her husband Scott, her mother Nancy and stepfather Prof. William Jankovich(ret), brothers David Piper '95, Tom Jankovich and Naison Nyamatutu '01, and sisters Susan Piper '93, Barb Jankovich and Carol Garner.

Anne-Marie Pace Marquis — Lakewood, Colo., received her MSW from UW-Milwaukee in 1996, moved to Colorado in 1997 and married Phillipe Rene Marquis July 30, 1999. She enjoyed working with Medicare patients and became a hospice volunteer. In 2000, she changed careers, went to mortuary sciences school and became a funeral director. Her first baby, Summer Jewel Marquis was born at home July 30, 2002, followed by a second home birth Aug. 15, 2005. Autumn Rayne Marquis was welcomed by her sister and delighted parents. Now, Ann-Marie works part-time but enjoys most her newest career as Mommy to two bright little girls.
